Find your strength. Find your voice.
You don’t have to walk this road alone. B6 Women is our free, faith-centered support group for women who are, or have been, in neglectful, abusive, or unhealthy relationships. Here, you’ll be heard without judgment, find peace of mind, and grow into a stronger version of yourself.
About B6 Women
108 Community Organization hosts B6 Women, an ongoing, curriculum-based support group for women. This group was developed to support women from all walks of life who are willing to explore a deeper level of who they are as women and to discover for themselves their strength, their voice, and what a healthy relationship looks like.
In a safe, nonjudgmental environment, women are free to address and challenge the social norms, stigmas, and stereotypes that are widely accepted yet rarely discussed. By confronting these taboos together, women develop the tools they need to identify, acquire, and maintain a healthy relationship.
Our hope is that every woman who joins us will find her strength, her voice, and redemption.
“If women are willing to step out of the shadows and share their story, their belief, and their pain, we can collectively redefine their position in identifying, acquiring, and maintaining a healthy relationship.”
What we’ll explore together
Each gathering follows a simple rhythm: an opening question, a key idea, a real-life scenario we talk through together, and a take-home step to practice until we meet again.
Healthy Relationships
We begin with H.E.A.L., a practice for letting positive experiences soothe and, over time, replace painful ones. Then we look at the qualities that make relationships healthy and how we can live them out.
Topics: Love · Joy · Peace · Patience · Gentleness · Integrity · Faith · Humbleness · Self-Discipline
Recognizing Abuse and Neglect
Many women realize for the first time that what they’ve lived through has a name. Together, we learn the warning signs, in ourselves and in others, and where to turn for help.
Topics: Spiritual abuse · Emotional abuse and gaslighting · Verbal abuse · Economic control · Coercion · Isolation · Harassment · Abuse of trust · Self-destructive behaviors
