What makes a Good Man?
B6 Men is our free, weekly support group for men who are, or have been, in neglectful, abusive, or unhealthy relationships. Here, you can be heard without judgment or ridicule, find peace of mind, and be empowered and challenged to become a better version of yourself.
About B6 Men
108 Community Organization hosts a curriculum-based weekly men’s support group entitled B6. This group was developed to assist men from all walks of life who are willing to explore a deeper level of who they are as men and to discern for themselves what makes a “Good Man.”
In a safe, nonjudgmental environment, men are free to address and challenge the social norms, stigmas, and stereotypes that are widely accepted yet rarely discussed. By confronting these taboos together, men develop the tools they need to identify, acquire, and maintain a healthy relationship.
Better men, creating better men.
“If men are willing to step out of the shadows and share his story, his belief, and his pain, we can collectively redefine our position and purpose and discern for ourselves what makes a ‘Good Man.’”
What we’ll explore together
Each gathering follows a simple rhythm: an opening question, a key idea, a real-life scenario we talk through together, and a take-home step to practice until we meet again.
Healthy Relationships
We begin with H.E.A.L., a practice for letting positive experiences soothe and, over time, replace painful ones. Then we look at the qualities that make relationships healthy and how we can live them out.
Topics: Love · Joy · Peace · Patience · Gentleness · Integrity · Faith · Humbleness · Self-Discipline
Recognizing Abuse and Neglect
Many men realize for the first time that what they’ve lived through has a name. Together, we learn the warning signs, in ourselves and in others, and where to turn for help.
Topics: Spiritual abuse · Emotional abuse and gaslighting · Verbal abuse · Economic control · Coercion · Isolation · Harassment · Abuse of trust · Self-destructive behaviors

Questions men often ask
Is B6 Men counseling or therapy?
No. B6 is a non-clinical peer support group. Our facilitators listen, encourage, and connect members with professional help and community resources when needed.
Can men really be on the receiving end of an unhealthy or abusive relationship?
Yes. Many men carry it quietly because of stigma, shame, or the fear of not being believed. B6 is a place where you will be believed and respected.
Do I have to share my story?
Never. You can listen for as long as you need. Many men speak up a little at a time, once they see they’re not alone.
Do I need to be a person of faith?
B6 is rooted in faith, and every man is welcome. We honor each member’s beliefs and keep our focus on healing and healthy relationships.
Can I register privately?
Yes. We ask only for basic information, and you may use a private or alternate email address.
Is there a group for women?
Yes. Visit B6 Women to learn more and register.
